CLA series are low-cost surge and lightning arrestors specially designed for airfield lighting application on runways, taxiways or aprons. They meet all international standards,
and are efficient in protection against overvoltages and surges resulting from various origins :

External : Atmospheric influences, static loads, lightning, induced surges.
Internal : Modification of the electrical stability of the installation in normal operation (switching oscillations) or irregular operation (electric arcing, ground faults).

OPERATION SECURITY
Large security margin between the ignition level and the insulation level of the installation : no risks of wrong operation, granted limit of the ignition voltage.
MAINTENANCE OPTIMISATION
CLA can be easily added in any existing installations thanks to its standard male / female plug compliant with IEC and FAA standards. In case of failure the device is short circuited and can be easily disconnected for replacement.
INTERNAL CONSTITUTION
The CLA’s active part consists of non-linear resistors (varistors) made of zinc oxide, protected with stratified glass-epoxyde cover, and molded with polyurethane. Earthing terminal is made of a brass stud M12.
